Sum 41 announced for two day pop-punk and rock festival alongside more acts
Slam Dunk Festival has this morning announced that iconic Canadian pop-punk band Sum 41 will headline Slam Dunk Festival alongside Don Broco next year.
This is the first time the band have played at Slam Dunk, etching their names into festival history alongside Good Charlotte, Enter Shikari, Panic! At the Disco and You Me At Six, just to name a few.
Their addition to the line-up comes as no surprise as the band continue their rise back into the mainstream following their album release Order in Decline and UK tour earlier this year.
After successful shows in Exeter, Leicester, Glasgow and Manchester it has been evident that the general public has a huge appetite for a slice of noughties pop-punk nostalgia.
Additional Slam Dunk acts also announced
It’s not only Sum 41 who have been announced today for next year’s Slam Dunk Festival, we can also look forward to seeing: The Used, The Story So Far, Grayscale, DreamState and Billy Talent, who absolutely stole the show at Download Festival back in 2016.
These bands will join already announced acts such as NOFX, State Champs, Pennywise and Motion City Soundtrack. Already, Slam Dunk looks like it could be the very best lineup in years.
Where and when is Slam Dunk Festival 2020?
Slam Dunk Festival will be held across two locations in 2020. Slam Dunk North takes place on Saturday 23rd May at Leeds Temple Newsam, whilst Slam Dunk South is taking place the following day on Sunday 24th May at Hatfield Park.
